Sassy is a prime example of good genetics. She
is out of 200/8(Miss Polled Texas x Desperado) and Postman.
Gentle, very good length and conformation. She Breeds back
every year and puts a great calf on the ground.
What can I say,
Betsy Lee represents line bred 6/2 at it's best. Betsy Lee is surely destined to follow in her mothers
(Betsy Ross) footsteps.
This is the most amazing cow family and progeny I have seen,
their conversion on grass only is a sight to behold.
**
Polled Mandate x **American Pie, exemplifies the six
essentials. This cow is super meaty and puts a outstanding
quality calf on the ground every year. The cow will probably
go into our donor program in 2006.
Polled Belle is one of the very best Polled Perfection daughters
of them all. Her dam is the Patriot daughter that is the dam
to Bruno. Polled Belle is gentle and has a very good conformation.
We've had calves out of her by both Native Illusion and Black
Blaze both were exceptional and polled.
A slick polled classy heifer that has an excellent disposition,
along with extremely strong EPD's. Her first heifer calf we
kept and she put another heifer calf on the ground this year
out of Cherokee and it's another keeper. This cow is as consistent clockwork
we were deeply saddened by her untimely death.
Another outstanding young heifer with good confirmation. She could have been ranked a U 1/2 this year
but we held her back one more year from ranking as we wanted
to see another calf. She had a bull calf (CBS Houdini) out of Black Blaze and man did Blaze and her do a
great job on this one.
This outstanding cow
goes back to Phantom three times
and Pride's Painted Girl. She produces a quality calf every
year and is one of our main foundation herd cows.
This
Scarlet Pride daughter is exactly what you would expect from
such a mating - moderate frame, feminine conformation,
angularity, good udders and length. She is bred to Black Blaze
due to calf in Spring 2005. She's one of the 3 sisters I
purchased at 7 months old.
This is an outstanding young heifer out of Synergy x
Chastain Farms 6/9. What can I say this cow put her first calf
(solid red bull with black markings) out of Black Blaze and probably the cleanest
underline I've seen. You don't get calves any better than this,
we just rebred her back to Blaze.
What can I say about this cow, she is line-bred Havana with
outstanding genetics both top and bottom. She was Ranked
#1 Graded Bred Heifer at the CSBBA
2002 Mid-America Beefmaster Futurity.
She is the dam of CBS HooRah (a Cavalier son - see bulls
above) and put a solid red heifer calf on the ground out of
Cherokee this year (2004) that when John Newburn saw not only
her bull from last year but this young heifer, his comment was
"you ought to be flushing this cow". Well I agree with John but
we decided to put one more calf on the ground out of Cherokee
before we do that, But if you are looking for quality the look
for this cows flushes coming in 2005 - We will be doing 3
initial flushes on her staring next June 2005 first to Black
Black, second to Native Illusion and finally to Cherokee.
This is a
beautiful young cow that is the daughter of Jungle Fever. This
cows first calf (red heifer) out of Native Illusion was a home
run and we bred her back the same way and she should have a calf
in October. I can't say enough about her or her calf who is
currently owned by Will Reed a JBBA member who will be showing
her at the Nationals this year (July 2004). She just received
her U 1/2 ranking (2004).
This
Scarlet Pride daughter is exactly what you would expect from such a
mating - moderate frame, feminine conformation, angularity, good
udders and length. This is a heifer that is one of three sisters I
bought at 7 months old and what can I say she's expecting her first
calf out of Black Blaze in October 2004 we think she is going to be
a U 1/1. We bought her with the intent of turning her into a donor
and when John Newburn saw her he agreed, "It's hard to find any
fault in this heifer".
We think this female is special. Her sire is Double Deuce,
a black Evolution son. Her dam is was the first calf of P.W. Cool.
Bred to Black Blaze and due to calf in Sping 2005. Ranked #1 Bred Heifer
and Overall Reserve Grand Champion Heifer at the CSBBA 2002
Mid-America Beefmaster Futurity. A definite donor prospect and
will be worked into our donor program!
This heifer (out of CBS Snoopy) is an outstanding
heifer, she was the first calf to be born on the ranch. She is very deep
bodied with tremendous thickness and yet very feminine (she
just might be a U 1/1). She is currently being bred to
Shockwave. Don't ask I can't sell her my wife would kill me.
What can I say this heifer, she was
one of two ET (The Postman x Betsy Lee) pregnancies
purchased when we bought Betsy Lee. She bred to Black Blaze
due to calf Fall 2005. All I can say about
this heifer is this is one you'd bet the farm on. She a
donor class prospect if I ever saw one.
This was a ET heifer (Spartacus X
Natural Appeal) and what a beauty. We have her in with Black
Blaze for breeding. She's a donor
prospect.
This was a ET heifer (Spartacus X Natural Appeal) and what a beauty.
She is bred to Shockwave due to calf Spring 2005. She's another donor
prospect.
What can I say this heifer, she was one of
two ET (The Postman x Betsy Lee) pregnancies purchased
when we bought Betsy Lee. She's currently bred to Cherokee due
to calf Spring 2005. All I can say about this heifer is she's another one
you'd bet the farm on. She a donor class prospect all the way.
This red heifer was the LBBA Futurity Grand Champion in
2003. Her first calf (black bull) is out of Black Black and he
looks outstanding. Currently bred to Native Illusion due to
calf Spring 2005.
We fell in love with this black heifer when we first saw her.
She's currently bred to
Black Blaze due to calf Spring 2005.
I usually don't put calves on this page but this
is the exception to the rule. This heifer is currently owned and
being shown by JBBA member Will Reed. Bred to Black Blaze due to
calf August 2005

This heifer is
a Rush Man daughter.
This heifer is out of Rush Man. She put her first calf on
the ground at 20 months old out of Shockwave. Man did they do
great work. Bred to CBS HooRah due to calf Sping 2005.
This heifer is a super nice Rush Man daughter.
Bred to CBS Shockwave due to calf Spring 2005.
This heifer really impressed us when we got her plus she
came with a powerhouse of pedigree (Ranger's Pride, Phantom
Princess, Phantom, Landmark). She put her first calf on the
ground this year out of Rush Man and all I can say is WOW!
Plus she just got ranked U 1/2. Bred to Black Blaze due to
calf Fall 2005

This heifer is really nice black heifer not much pedigree
but thick and feminine. Bred to Black Blaze and due to
calf Fall 2005.
This is the first heifer my wife bought, good thing she did
'cause I was off running my mouth and she was paying
attention. Plus she's got a pretty darn good pedigree (Synergy
x Classy Woman granddaughter).
Currently bred to Black Blaze due to calf Fall 2005.
This is on outstanding long, feminine deep bodied cow out of
The General x Special Lady. Bred to Black Blaze due to calf
Fall 2005. (Deceased).
I'm not much on paint's but I could not
pass this cow up. She was just TOO GOOD. What a momma cow and
man does she put quality calves on the ground.
We REALLY LIKED this heifer when we saw her
especially her dark red color. Plus she brought a heck of a
pedigree and some additional genetics to the table for us.
She's going to be a real special cow. Currently breeding
her to Shockwave.
I actually bought this cow just cause I had to try some of that L Bar 5502
stuff, plus she AI'd to Soulman.
She's actually a really nice heifer, I really just want to
see how Soulman's calves stack up against Black Blazes calves.
Bred to Black Blaze due to calf Fall 2005.
This heifer doesn't have a lot in her pedigree but dang is
she nice!
Currently breeding her to Shockwave.
This heifer has an exceptional pedigree and is currently
bred to a black Polled Mandate x Black Ruby Son (C886716).
She is a half sister to Magnolia a new black donor we
recently purchased. This heifer is correct in every way and
we expect her to carry on the CBS Ranch tradition.
They
don't get any better than this. This donor is an exceptional
recent acquisition for CBS Ranch. She averaged 15 #1 embryos
on her last 2 flushes to Bandito and Magic Man. She also had the high selling black female at a
recent sale. We are truely excited about this female and
will be flushing her to Black Blaze and Cherokee Renegade
this winter. Look for her calves out of Bandito & Magic Man
next year.

WOW!!! This heifer
was just an unbelievable acquisition out of Black Laser x
Natural Reflection. To get genetics out of ** Phaninie Marie
(grand dam) and **Phannie Mae (great grand dam) this close
up in her pedigree was an exceptional opportunity.
WOW!!! This heifer
was just an incredible young slick polled heifer out of CBS Snoopy &
Shockwave. She's got great conformation and will be a great
addition to our herd to replace her mother.
